Looking for opportunities to serve?  Here's a list of the many groups in the parish that meet for fellowship and service.

  • Angels for Elders

    Angels for Elders provides transportation for seniors to and from medical and dental appointments, grocery shopping, pharmacy pick-up and to St. Helena's Church for services and various church events.  Contact: Bill McVey

  • Breakfast Ministry

    The Breakfast Ministry provides a good breakfast for the church family on Sunday mornings.  Get your team together and help feed the family!  Contact: Cindy Erickson

  • Childcare - The Ark

    Childcare is provided for infants on up, in Room A of Wendler Hall. It is open on Sunday mornings during worship services and when there is a need for other parish activities.  Contact: Kerrie Kleinpeter

  • Columbarium & Memorial Garden

    There are 96 niches where urns are placed containing the ashes of loved ones.  The vault is set into the back exterior wall of St. Helena's bell tower and has a beautiful gated and landscaped meditation garden surrounding it.

  • Daughters of the King

    The Daughters of The King is a nationwide Episcopal Prayer Group.

    Leave your prayer requests inside one of our prayer boxes on the table outside the Great Room or in the Narthex (inside the front door) of the historic sanctuary. They will remain on our prayer list for 90 days. They will also remain confidential.

    Anyone interested in becoming a Daughter of the King is welcome. Come check out our meetings the Second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in Room 1, across from the Welcome Center.  Contacts: Julie Vickery, Millie McVey

  • Dynamic Dinners

    This is a group of dedicated parishioners who take turns cooking dinner for the high school youth group on Wednesday evenings during the school year.  Contact: Kathy Mann

  • Episcopal Church Women

    Episcopal Church Women is an organization that includes all the women of St. Helena’s. Meetings are held 3-4 times a year, along with 2 socials.  Meeting dates are posted on the website and on the Women’s Ministry Bulletin Board. ECW is also charged with the Pancake Supper on Shrove Tuesday, Funeral Receptions, Bishop’s Breakfasts, Annual Garage Sale in the fall and other activities benefiting St. Helena’s.  Contact: Margarita Mejia

  • Eucharistic Visitors

    When someone is ill at home, in a nursing home, assisted living facility, in the hospital or unable to get to church for various reasons, pastoral visits are made to them by Eucharistic Visitors. These are lay people who are members of the Community of Hope and have been trained and licensed to do this ministry.  Contact: Anne Rea

  • Fishes & Loaves

    This group provides meals for parishioners in need due to illness, loss of a loved one, birth of a child, recovery from surgery, etc.  Contact: Karen Medina

  • KP Committee

    This is a vigilant ministry that keeps our parish kitchen tidy.  Quick to toss the unwanted clutter that collects with regularity, they serve our parish by creating a neat, well functioning kitchen in the church.  Contacts: Gail Powell, Deb Walters

  • Men's Fellowship

    This is an organization for all men of St. Helena's. They meet monthly in different homes to eat together, visit and have Bible study.  Contact: Ron Frishmuth

  • Office Angels

    The Office Angels assist the church staff in the office.  Myriad duties include answering and making phone calls, going to the Post Office, and general office works as needed.  They serve Mon. - Thu., from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or a split shift, from once a week to once a month.   • Pew Pocket Partners

    This ministry tidies up and stocks our pew and chair back information pockets with visitor cards, offering envelopes, pencils and kids notes prior to Sunday's services.  Contact: Marie Harrigan

  • Prayer Shawls

    Shawls are handmade by our parishioners and given to those who are ill and homebound, during pastoral visits.  Contact: Gail Powell


    Senior parishioners meet monthly for fun, food, and fellowship, enjoying special programs and occasional day trips. Check out the Senior Fellowship page here.  Contact: Pat Krueger (

  • 2 Men and a pickup truck

    Open to men, women, and older teens. Usually needed on short notice, to move small household goods.   Contact: Danny Pena

  • Wedding Coordinator

    This wedding coordinator facilitates a seamless wedding for the bride and groom's special day.  Contact: Janelle Burns
